Sacello della Vergine, a small chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is situated at the corner of Via dei Santi Quattro and Via dei Querceti, near the Basilica of San Clemente. The small sanctuary, which is in a state of disrepair, may have been erected as early as the 11th century. Its apse is embellished with a fresco, several times repainted, depicting the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus. The painting probably dates from the 15th century.
